Hello to our clean families!
We miss you!!
As you know, cleaning has become the front line of defense in the health and safety of your family. As a result the cleaning industry has taken a dramatic turn very quickly. We understand we are no longer just cleaning for appearances, but cleaning for health. We are taking this responsibility very seriously.
Recently, I was awarded a scholarship by Kimberly Clark and the Global Biorisk Advisory Council and have completed the certification for Sars-CoV-2/Covid 19 cleaning. In addition, I have acquired 22 certifications and course completion certificates in Biohazard Cleaning, Covid19 Cleaning, Sanitization and Disinfection, Chemical Safety and Fogging. *source* GBAC (Global Biohazard Advisory Council), ISSA, 3M, OSHA and the CDC.
Several of my cleaning techs have also taken courses and certifications. We are committed to ongoing education in an effort to keep you and your families safe throughout these difficult times.
Here is what we are doing:
Daily Dos-
1. Take and document temperature before work each morning
2. Ensure all equipment has been properly sanitized before entering a home
3. Wash hands upon arrival at your property
4. Use PPE while in your home (see below)
5. Anyone who is not feeling well or has a temperature will be required to stay home
PPE- Your cleaning techs will have masks, gloves, and shoe covers at all times. They also have eye protection and coveralls if needed
Products- We are using hospital grade disinfection products to sanitize your home. All disinfecting products have been reviewed and have been listed on the CDC list of approved cleaners (N list)
Vacuums- We are recommending that all households provide their own vacuum. This will limit possibilities of cross contamination between households. We will have our vacuums clean and ready should we need it. If you do not have an adequate vacuum I am happy to recommend one for you. We will not carry around 40 pound vacuums that are 20 years old and have never been cleaned. If this is sounds like what you have, please consider replacing.
Cloths- As always, we only use microfiber cloths. Cloths are color coded depending on the rooms they are used in and products they are used for. Our policy is to change cloths on every surface, and no cloth is to be reused in a second room to avoid cross contamination.
Sick Policy- Techs who have a fever or not feeling well are required to stay home. This is for your safety and theirs. Should your regular cleaner not be available, we will do our best to send a replacement cleaner. If for any reason this is not possible, one of your regular techs will complete your home alone. Obviously this will take longer and we appreciate your patience if our schedule is a bit off.
Social Distancing- We LOVE you....but we would rather not see you right now. Whenever possible we are asking our families to not be home when we come in for service. If you must be home, please make an effort to remain in a single area while we are in your home. We are also asking you to keep a close eye on your pets. Dogs can become unfriendly when meeting a stranger in the hallway with a mask, goggles, and gloves. We miss your furbabies and want to give them love, but we need your help to keep them safe.
Schedules- If it has been longer than 6 months since you have had a deep clean, now is the best time to do it. We will have a very difficult time performing maintenance cleans on houses that have not been cleaned in 2 months. Please contact me by phone or txt at 704-972-8322 to schedule, or email CarolinaMaidRite@gmail.com. A good guide for deep cleaning is 2x. It takes 2 times longer to deep clean than maintenance clean, and costs 2 times more than your normal rate. (Larger homes should expect 2.5x)
If you choose to not deep clean, please let me know your priorities for regular cleaning, as it may not be possible to fit a maintenance clean in to your time slot, and we may need to adjust what gets cleaned.
New Services- While we always sanitize touch points with a disinfectant, disinfecting requires a 2 step process of cleaning, then disinfection, as well as dwell time for the products. You may now add touchpoint disinfection on to your current service, or schedule additional appointments in between your regular cleanings. You may also request one time service as needed. Pricing will vary depending on your home. 2000 sq ft should take about an hour @ $70/hr.
We have also purchased electrostatic foggers, and chemical misters. While I do not recommend these services for your home, please feel free to reach out if you have a business that could benefit from those services.
New Requirement- We are requiring AC to be turned down to at least 75 degrees when we arrive at your property. Cleaning is hard work, and it is hot. Adding PPE, masks and the heat of the summer makes for pretty miserable conditions. It is also very difficult to use chemicals when we don't have airflow. We will be checking thermostats upon entry to your home. If you can preset it, we would appreciate it. If not, we will be setting it when we arrive. This is not an option and appreciate your help in keeping our environment safe.
I would like to personally thank everyone who reached out in this time to support me, and my business. Small business has taken a serious hit in the last 2 months, and your words of encouragement have meant more to me than you know.
If it is at all possible for you to add a deep clean on to your next appointment, please do so. It will give your cleaning teams extra hours, and also help them get back on track for taking care of your home.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Thank you!
Stay Safe!
